I want real smarties back on the shelves

When I was a kid, I used to get a big box of smarties most Christmases from a lady down the road.  I loved smarties; they would be the one sweet I would ask for if my mum was buying us a treat.  As a teenager I found that smarties were even better mixed with Hula Hoops (chocolate and salt, mmm)!

Nowadays, I only eat smarties if someone else has bought them for me.  They taste odd (almost not that nice) because of the lack of E numbers.
I understand why E numbers have been reduced, but why don’t companies sell two versions of their sweets?  The adult version, complete with all the “bad” bits – for those who don’t care as long as it tastes good!  And a version for kids – no E numbers – no flavour.

I can’t be the only one who thinks they should bring back the good old versions of sweets.  What would you bring back?
